The Criminal Law Advice Duty Counsel is a service run out of the John Sopinka Courthouse. The program gives advice and assistance on criminal law matters for people who are not in court the day they attend the centre.

The Family Advice Duty Counsel is a service run out of the Family Law Information Centre. The program gives advice and assistance on family law matters for people who are not in court the day they attend the centre .

Provides services to assist individuals who are experiencing homelessness or are on a low income in finding safe and affordable housing.

Services include:

Curbside pick-up of garbage, bulk items, yard waste, compostables, and recyclables in the City of Hamilton is managed by the Environmental Services Division of the Public Works Department.  Community Recycling Centres offer additional services, in

Conservative Synagogue offering daily Minyan, and weekly Shabbat services. Also offers adult educational classes and children's Hebrew school. 

Offers support services and counselling to children who have experienced abuse. Services include:

  • needs assessment
  • safety planning
  • individual or family counselling
  • short-term follow-up supports
