Hamilton Community Garden Network (HCGN) provides resources and tools needed to start, run, or participate in community garden development. Current community garden locations can be searched on the online map.
HCGN is currently organized by the Neighbour to Neighbour Centre's Hamilton Community Food Centre. 

The centre provides people in recovery, their families, and community members with access to reliable and user-friendly information about mental health, addictions, and related issues. Computer with internet access is available onsite. Additional online resources are available on the centre's website. 

A program in which Hamilton Police Service work closely with members of the public to address problems or needs within communities. Community policing centres are staffed by trained civilian volunteers who handle the reporting of some offences (i.e. mischief, minor thefts, lost and found property) and minor driving complaints. Volunteers will assist in making arrangements for an officer to take a report in cases of other offences.

Catholic full day and before and after school child care programs in Hamilton Catholic Schools. Care is available to students of the school where the program is located as well as children of the students, school staff, and the community. Staff include trained Early Childhood Educators and students from the schools. Types of care may vary at each location. Contact for specific details.

Free, monthly Saturday morning lectures for children and youth, to spark their curiosity and expose them to the university environment. Speakers present topics about science, technology, engineering, arts, math and many more. The lectures provide children and youth the opportunity to learn from McMaster University Professors.

Assists people to explore and fulfill life expectations beyond psychiatric stabilization and health maintenance using a "partners in well-being" approach. Oversees 9 independently-owned residential homes in urban and rural settings and operates day programs in 2 skills centres as a provider within the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care residential care program for adults with serious mental illnesses. Part of the Schizophrenia & Community Integration Service.
