Strives to improve the health, well-being and rights of children and youth in Canada by:

monitoring and reporting on the health and well-being of children and youth in Canada to increase public understanding of emerging and continuing issues;

developing and disseminating public education materials and resources, with evidence-based information for parents, caregivers and policy makers on recommended practices to promote healthy development, health and well-being; and to prevent illness and injury; and

acting as an advocate on behalf of children and youth to improve the health outcomes of children and youth in Canada

Meetings: The Board of Directors meets approximately 4 times a year on a date called by the chair. The Annual General meeting is traditionally held in June.
