Responsibilities include:

Working with municipal partners to consider how decisions made across governments will impact Ontario communities

Administering and updating Ontario’s Building Code to promote buildings that are safe, resilient and energy efficient

Providing advice and delivering programs and educational services to municipalities on municipal management, finance, administration and land use planning

Managing growth and protecting the natural heritage in Ontario’s Greenbelt and across the province

Providing financial assistance to qualifying residents and communities after sudden, unexpected natural disasters

Setting the rules for how the municipal and school board elections are run
