Monthly retirement pension available at 65 years (or between 60 and 64 years if earning requirements met during initial qualifying period.)

Disability Benefit: Monthly payments for a child of the person receiving a CPP disability benefit

Survivor Benefit: Monthly payments for a child of the deceased contributor

Death Benefit: lump sum payment to estate, or persons responsible for funeral costs

pension credits earned by either spouse during legal or common law marriage (same-sex or opposite-sex) may be divided equally (credit splitting) on termination of marriage or after separation for one year
