Hamilton General Hospital, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Care Centre (SA/DVCC)

Provides specialized healthcare for adolescents, women, transgender persons, and men who have experienced sexual assault and/or domestic violence.

Reporting to the police is the decision of the survivor. Hospital staff will not report to the police without the permission of the survivor.

Eligibility

Age 18 years and older; Victims of sexual assault ages 18 and under access the program through the Emergency Department at McMaster Children's Hospital.

Visit the hospital emergency department and ask for the sexual health nurse examiner (SANE), or contact for more information.
