Drummond House, HOPE Centre (Home of Practical Education)

A non-secure transitional home offering up to a three month stay for women and children who are emerging from oppressive circumstances and offers a program to help them to heal, while living in a supportive positive environment. Staff and professional volunteers offer a variety of services and supports including counseling, coaching, support groups and educational classes. The centre focuses on building self worth, healthy relationships and providing support related to trauma and abuse.

Age 65 years and younger; Women and women with children including boys age 11 years and younger

Three stage intake process: Referral, phone assessment, and interview. References required.
