Founded in 1927, the Hamilton Aviary is Canada's oldest public aviary. They provide sanctuary to a flock of parrots, as well as advocate for exotic birds, rehabilitate and retrain them, and educate and foster a deeper knowledge of birds.
The Aviary is 100% volunteer-run, and volunteer opportunities are available in daily care and enrichment, tidy up, tour guides, special committees, events assistance, plant care, and the board of directors.
