Residential Mental Health Treatment Facilities

Programs that provide a therapeutic living environment in community-based facilities for individuals who have emotional and/or behavioural problems and require a structured, supervised treatment program which may include individual, group, family and other treatment modalities as appropriate, but who do not require inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.

 

Services

The Forest Program serves youth ages 10 to 18 with a dual diagnosis and is part of the service array available through the Guiding Partnerships and Solutions (GPS) Program.

The Forest Avenue site, located in downtown Hamilton, is home to the Forest Program.

The Flamborough Site is located in the rural area of Dundas, Ontario. This facility is home to both the Flamborough program and the Flamborough school.

Offers residential and support services for youth experiencing challenges with their mental health and who may be experiencing difficulties in their current living situation.

Programs are available for youth ages 6 to 18

Augusta Street location of the Lynwood Charlton Centre.

Hamilton office of the Lynwood Charlton Centre; a publicly funded charitable organization in the City of Hamilton with the mission to support children, youth, and families to achieve better mental health.

A co-ed residential treatment program for youth with complex mental health concerns. Helps residents develop skill to manage and understand their own mental health concerns and provides aftercare to youth for up to two years after they leave the residence.
