Provides a full range of educational, sport, and recreational activities for newcomers to Canada. These activities provide newcomer youth with a fun, supportive environment.

Services include:

Designated sites where residents can drop off items that are not to be picked up as part of regular curb pick up service.  Some items that can be dropped off include:

Protestant Church offering worship service on Sunday mornings. Nursery services available during the service. Also offers pastoral counselling, prayer groups, communion services.

Friendly callers offer companionship and quality conversations through weekly calls. Clients will also have access to other helpful resources and information within the community. Calls usually last 15-30 minutes.

Provides companionship and support to help seniors or persons with disabilities remain independent in their homes. This programs aims to enrich the social interaction of individuals by connecting them to the community and other helpful resources.

The Newcomer Learning Centre, located on the fourth floor of Central Library, serves people who are new to Canada.  

Services include:

Provides topical professional education, training, and seminars for caregivers and seniors. Sessions vary, and may include information on topics such as finances, end of life, and senior safety.
